Terms of Service
Last updated 20 September 2026
1. Who we are and what this is
Auxtion ("we", "us") operates a song-request service for participating bars and venues in Singapore ("Venues"). You use Auxtion through our website and web app (the "Service").
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.
The Service is operated by an individual sole trader pending incorporation. We'll update this section when the operating entity changes; your rights under these Terms won't get worse when it does.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. Venues are licensed premises; by using the Service inside one you confirm you're legally allowed to be there.
One account per person. You're responsible for everything done under your account, and for keeping your password to yourself.
3. Tokens
Tokens are prepaid credits you buy from Auxtion and spend on song requests at Venues. Tokens are a licence to use the Service, not money, property, or a deposit. They have no cash value and can't be transferred, sold, or exchanged.
Prices for token bundles are shown in the app in Singapore dollars and include any applicable tax. We may change bundle prices and the number of tokens a request costs at any time; changes don't affect tokens you already hold.
Tokens expire if your wallet has no activity — no purchase, spend, or redemption — for 12 months. Any activity restarts the clock. Expired tokens are forfeited and shown as such in your wallet history.
Tokens you receive for free (promotions, admin grants, cash codes) are subject to these same Terms.
4. Requests, priority, and no refunds
When you queue a song, the tokens for that request are spent immediately and cannot be recovered. This is true whether the song is played, skipped, or never reached.
A "priority" request costs more tokens and is placed ahead of all normal requests waiting at that Venue. Priority does not guarantee a specific play time, only ordering ahead of normal requests made at that Venue.
Venue staff may skip, remove, or decline any request at their sole discretion — for example because it's inappropriate for the room, has already played, isn't available, or for any other reason. Skipped requests are not refunded.
ALL TOKEN PURCHASES AND SPENDS ARE FINAL AND NON-REFUNDABLE, except where a refund is required by Singapore law or where we, at our sole discretion, choose to credit tokens back (for example after a verified technical fault on our side).
If a request cannot be played because of a fault in the Service itself (not the Venue's equipment, music service, or staff decision), contact support and we'll review it.
5. Payments
Token purchases are processed by third-party payment providers (currently Stripe, and where enabled, HitPay). We never see or store your full card number.
Cash codes issued by Venue staff can be redeemed once and expire 24 hours after issue. A lost or expired code is not our responsibility.
If a payment is reversed or disputed after tokens were credited, we may remove the corresponding tokens and suspend the account until resolved.
6. Music, Venues, and playback
Auxtion is a request and queueing service. Music is played by the Venue on the Venue's own music service account and equipment. The Venue is responsible for holding any public-performance licences required to play music on its premises.
We don't control which songs are available, audio quality, volume, or whether the Venue's equipment is working. If the Venue's playback stops, requests may queue until it resumes.
Song catalogue and artwork are provided by third-party services and may be unavailable or change without notice.
7. Acceptable use
Don't use the Service to harass anyone, to request content intended to abuse Venue staff or other guests, to interfere with the queue or other users, or to do anything unlawful.
Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, scrape, overload, or bypass the security of the Service, and don't create accounts by automated means.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules. Tokens on a closed account are forfeited unless the closure was our mistake.
8. Your account
You can change your name, email, and password in the app, and delete your account at any time from your account page. Deletion is permanent: your wallet balance, history, and tickets are removed and any remaining tokens are forfeited.
We may close inactive accounts after 24 months of no sign-in. We'll try to email you first.
9. Service availability and changes
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We don't promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change, pause, or discontinue features at any time.
If we discontinue the Service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice and, where practical, allow unused paid tokens to be used or refunded before shutdown.
10. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Singapore law, we're not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for loss of enjoyment, arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us for tokens in the 3 months before the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that can't be limited under Singapore law, including under the Consumer Protection (Fair Trading) Act.
11. Privacy
How we handle your personal data is described in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
12. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The date at the top tells you when. For material changes we'll notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
13. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of Singapore. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Singapore, after a good-faith attempt to sort it out with our support team first.
